"Little Judoka's" Judo Class
Kids classes at Kokushikai Judo focus on the basic elements of judo - the throws and the pins - in a fun and safe way, with the utmost attention given to each individual child from our JudoBC qualified instructors, whether they wish recreational enjoyment or competitive success.
Our classes are a great way to instill a love for activity and fitness in your child, and are a great way to build strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and confidence.
But more than offering simply physical benefits, our judo classes will instill discipline, control, and patience through various forms of training.
What is learned on the mats through hard judo training transfers at home, at school, at work or at play. These values include:
playing by the rules
co-operating with others
respecting self and others
self-discipline and humility
self-confidence and commitment
perseverance and determination

New Home For Kokushikai Judo
We have found a new home for the Kokushikai Juniors class, but as of now, there is no teen/adult class. The two closest dojo's for BIG judoka is either Mill Bay Shidokai (Tuesday & Thursday nights) or Victoria Judo (Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights).
*Classes scheduled to start first week in September.
The NEW location for the kids class will be ..

The reason for the later start is due to the kids judo class I will be teaching at the Gordon Head Recreation Center.
Classes at GHJC are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:45pm.

Looking for a Dojo!
Kokushikai dojo is currently in transition and seeking a new location to lay down mats. Ideally we are looking for a place that grants us approximately 1000 square feet of mat space, and two days a week training times. I will supply the mats.
If you know of anything in the Westshore, Langford, Colwood area, please, let me know.
